A new Mediterranean restaurant and café has opened in Cary, NC. Location #2 of “Sassool” (like its North Raleigh sibling) was designed by Gontram Architecture for owners Mounir and Lisa Saleh. They operate both locations with their daughters in a true family endeavor.
In Cary, an existing retail space was completely gutted and renovated for the new restaurant. The restaurant operates in a café-like setting and features a large dining room, a smaller private dining room and a large commercial kitchen, suitable for restaurant and catering food preparation.
High ceilings, ceramic tile floors, and painted accent walls convey a contemporary, but authentic Mediterranean aesthetic, without being ostentatious. The overall concept was refined from the North Raleigh location, in an effort to improve, but also mandated by the existing structure.
