GANCAAgif-2016Gontram Architecture’s NCAA Pool heads to the Sweet 16!  After the first weekend, John Veazey leads the way in our Pool.  Mary Ann Simpson and Daniel Parrish are following closely behind.  Rounding out the field, in Last Place, is Allie Eberle with one hand on the horse’s butt trophy for such an accomplishment.

Check out the reports to follow the Pool HERE.

(If you didn’t get in this year, make sure you register so you are notified in advance of next year’s Pool.)

The best weekend (the first weekend) of the tournament lived up to its billing.  Michigan State, whom many picked to win it all, lost to Middle Tennessee State in the Round of 64 (one of the biggest upsets in tourney history).  Yale sent Baylor home early, then went home themselves after a loss to Duke.  Kentucky experienced their earliest exit in 5 years at the hands of Indiana.  And, many more exciting games kept us entertained!

As for our Pool, almost 60% of all entries picked either Kansas or UNC to win it all.  And, no less than 12 entrants are intentionally trying to lose in order to win the horse’s butt trophy.

Since 1998, Gontram Architecture has hosted its NCAA Pool for the Men’s Division I tournament.  This year, as in years past, there is NO entry fee, but lots of great prizes to be won! There’s even a nice trophy for the biggest loser.  The pool is open to anyone, but only one entry per person, please.

The V Foundation Logo colorNew for 2016:  Jim Valvano’s words in his 1993 ESPY speech, “Don’t Give Up . . . Don’t Ever Give Up!”, have motivated millions of people to battle cancer and find a cure.  His dream of curing cancer is still not realized, but is closer because of his inspiration.  This year, for every Pool entry received, we will donate $1 to The V Foundation for Cancer Research.  Participants also have to opportunity to give towards our “team” HERE, but it is not mandatory to play in our Pool.  We just wanted to give back to the organization founded by one of the most memorable personalities of this special Tournament.
